Can God Do Anything? Sunday, August 13, 2017

Subject: Can God Do ANYthing?
Reproduced for you reading pleasure, with permission, from Biblical Errancy, Issue #134, Feb, 1994:

Dear Mr. McKinsey,
I've read a number of back issues of B. E., and I think I have a pretty good idea of what you're trying to do, but as far as I can see, in all this time, you've neglected one very important point that affects all your arguments, and that is this: God can do anything. Any Sunday-school child can tell you that.

And what does that mean? It means that God can, whenever He wants to, take a contradiction and turn it into a non- contradiction. He can take a fallacy and turn it into truth. That is only one way He can 'confound the wise'.

You can say 'Well, 'white is black' is a contradiction.' It is, unless and until God wants it not to be. Then 'white is black' is no longer a contradiction, but is gospel truth. God is more powerful than all the laws of reason and logic, and can nulify or change the rules in any way at any time. Don't ask me how He can do it. His ways are omnipotent, and beyond my understanding or yours. If he wants to turn 'up' into 'down' or say that '1 + 1 = 3' He can do it and it will make perfect sense in a microsecond. Every verse in the Bible is literally true. People like you are just too narrow-minded and have such tunnel vision that you can't accept the almightly power of an infinite and omnipotent God.

Change your ways, Mr. McKinsey, and you can have a great reward at the end of your life.

Editor's Response
Dear Dr. KM, You have taken pseudo-intellectual anti-intellectualism to new heights by submitting the ultimate in religious inculcation and gibberish. I always thought Dr. Peter Ruckman's book Science and Philosophy was the most anti-intellectual composition in my repertoire, but your letter has surpassed even his absurd meanderings. This situation is made all the more tragic by the fact that your perverse thought processes and those of Ruckman are loaned an aura of respectability by a doctorate in something or other. Critiquing your letter is in a category by itself. You are among those pathetic beings who have left the realm of reason, logic, rationality, evidence, proof, data, and common sense and entered a never-never land of make believe and self-indulgent bliss. You refer to a being whose existance you can in no way prove and assert he is capable of performing deeds which you can in no way demonstrate.

As sad as it is to say, KM, you are a disgrace to every scientist, every inventor, every person who has ever tried to improve the status of mankind by demonstrating that which they allege. All you have succeeded in doing is proving that when carried to its ultimate conclusion religious propaganda is dangerous to sane minds and can only lead to a total divorce from reality not unlike that found in neurotics and psycotics. You would have humanity believe that there can be a square circle, a four-sided triangle, and a non-existant existing being. You would have us believe that God can totally, not partially, _totally_ destroy himself and then bring himself back into existence. You would have us believe that God can create a being more powerful than himself or create something too heavy for him to lift. You would have us reject the law of non-contradiction itself and have us believe that something can be itself and not itself simultaneously. You would literally have us believe that black can be white--the quintessence of inculcation, propaganda, indoctrination, and brainwashing.

Is it any wonder that you would have us accept the Bible as the inerrant word of a supreme being. It's nothing more than the logical culmination of an up-is-down philosophy that can only lead to the rejection of all contradictions per se. Once people seriously adopt your philosophy, then anything they chose to believe can be justified on the grounds that God can do anything and God is on their side. They don't have to prove by reason or demonstrate by proof; all they need do is assert and that alone is sufficient for verification. Talk about being divorced from the real world and dwelling in phantasia!

Following that stream of thought I could claim to be God and defy you to prove otherwise. After all, you said God can do anything, anything. If that's true, then I could very well be god. Even more important, my claim to be God is true until you can prove the contrary, which is impossible. How do you know for certain that I am not God; prove it. I defy you to prove that I am not God. If you were to ask me to perform some stupendous feats, I need only say that I do not choose to do so, and you were told by Scripture not to test the Lord thy God. If you say my behavior is imperfect, I would only ask you to observe the activities of God in the OT and note that they were justified as well. That settles the matter. Every one of your thrusts could be easily parried. In fact, everyone on the face of this planet could make equally incredible claims and your stance with them would be no stronger than with me.

You religionists just don't realize that you have to PROVE things. You completely ignore your own book which clearly says 'Prove all things' (1 Thess. 5:21). Merely saying or believing something is wholly insufficient. You just don't understand that when you alter or remove a basic intellectual concept, such as the law of non-contradiction, a chain reaction is set in motion that affects everything down the line. Everything is interrelated and what you think will work to your favor in one instance will operate to your detriment in others. If you can go on a wild spree, then so can I. If you can make ludicrous claims, then so can I. And mine are not only as valid as yours but equally incapable of being disproven.

The pandora's box you seek to open for yourself is also opened for all of mankind and the only limits are the imaginations of all concerned. Someone could murder the person you love most and claim they are either god or acting on God's orders, and until you proved otherwise, you would have no right whatever to punish them. How do you know they aren't being truthful? I challenge you to prove otherwise! If you took their life, you could very well be killing a physical manifestation of God and I don't need to tell you what the ultimate punishment for that would be.

If God Cannot Abolish Evil, Why Trust Him To Create Good?

Either God wants to abolish evil and cannot, or he can but does not want to, or he cannot and does not want to.
  • If he wants to but cannot, he is impotent.
  • If he can but does not want to, he is wicked.
  • If he neither can nor wants to, he is both powerless and wicked.
  • If God cannot abolish evil, why trust him to create Good?
[Epicurus who lived about 300 B.C]

In response to the above question posted on a discussion forum called Open The Blind Eyes I just joined recently, a new friend of mine Habibullo Abdullayev wrote as follows:

Cah Bagus, this solution for this problem requires to accept or define few concepts in order to define the Nature of God and purpose of life for human. So the answer could be a litle longer.

Actullay modern philosophy put this in 2 parts: internal problem of evil, and external.

Internal problem of evil is formulated as following
1. A good God that is omnipotent exist
2. Evil exists
3. Therefore a good God that is omnipotent doesn’t exist

H. J. Mc Closkey in his article ‘God and Evil’ summarises the problem well:
“Evil is a problem for the theist in that a contradiction is involved in the fact of evil, on the one hand, and the belief in the omnipotence and perfection of God on the other.”

We Muslims respond to it as following:
The first point that needs to be made is that statements (1) and (2) are not logically inconsistent as there is no apparent contradiction. For the atheist to jump to the conclusion that a good God that is omnipotent doesn't exist is an unwarranted, unless he has assumed, in the words of Philosopher William Craig, “some hidden premises”.

These hidden premises seem to be the following,
4. If God is omnipotent, then he can create any world he wants
5. If God is good, then he prefers a world without evil

Statement (4) suggests that since God can create and do anything, then he can create free human beings who always decide to do the right thing and do not fall into evil or suffering. Statement (5) suggests that God is all good so much so that if he could create a world without evil and suffering he would. Otherwise he would himself be evil to prefer that humans experience evil and suffering.

The proponent of this version of the problem of evil has made some unjustified assumptions. These hidden premises make some daring assumptions; firstly it assumes a Christian type of God, one that is just good and omnipotent. Secondly it assumes that God doesn't have any reasons to permit evil and suffering in the world.

Responding to the first assumption
Muslims do not only believe that God is just good and omnipotent. Muslims believe that part of God’s names and attributes include ‘the Just’, ‘the Severe in Punishment’, ‘the Wise’, ‘the Avenger’, and ‘the Compassionate’, amongst many others. So statements (1, 4 and 5) are inaccurate as the Muslim does not reduce God to parts, rather God is seen as one and unique in context of all his names and attributes. So if God was just good and omnipotent, then there may be problem in reconciling suffering and evil in the world. However if you include attributes such as ‘the Severe in Punishment’ and ‘the Wise’, these problems would not exist. Because perceived evil and suffering in the world can be due to,
  • God’s punishment as a result of our sins and bad actions.
  • God’s wisdom, as there may be divine wisdom in permitting evil and suffering. Even if we can’t evaluate what the wisdom is, it doesn’t mean it is not there. To argue such a thing would be a logical fallacy, known as the argument from ignorance (argumentum ad ignorantiam). The story of Khidr which can be found in the 18th chapter of Qur’an from verses 60 to 82 is an eloquent account of how God’s wisdom, whether understood or not, has positive results and benefits for humanity.
In addition to this the Muslim can argue that the problem of evil is logically posterior to the existence of God. You need to establish that God exists first before attempting to reconcile who God is with our perception of reality, in this case, evil and suffering.

Lastly the meaning of the word ‘good’ attributed to God needs to be understood in a divine context. In general terms the word ‘good’ has a meaning that relates to human experience, whereas in Islamic theology ‘good’ as an attribute of God is primarily viewed as a unique attribute that can be appreciated but not fully comprehended due to his uniqueness and transcendental nature. Therefore the underlying assumption that evil and a good God cannot coexist may be true with a Christian view of God. However it doesn’t apply to the Islamic concept of God as the atheist will have to reconcile evil and suffering with something that he cannot fully comprehend. So his premises are false due to his incorrect assumption that ‘good’ in the context of God is related to a human understanding of good.

Responding to the second assumption
A sufficient response to the second assumption is to provide a strong argument that God has justified reasons to permit suffering and evil in the world. The intellectual richness of Islamic Theology provides us with many reasons, some of which include:
  1. The primary purpose of the human being is not happiness rather it is to know and worship God. This fulfillment of the divine purpose will result in everlasting bliss and happiness. So if this is our primary purpose other aspects of human experience our secondary. The Qur’an, the book of the Muslims states: “I did not create either jinn or man except to worship Me.”
  2. God also created us for a test, and part of this test is to be tested with suffering and evil. The Qur’an mentions “The One Who created death and life, so that He may put you to test, to find out which of you is best in deeds: He is the all-Almighty, the all-Forgiving”
  3. Having hardship and suffering enables us to realize and know God’s attributes such as ‘the Victorious’ and ‘the Healer’. For example without the pain and suffering of illness we would not appreciate the attribute of God being ‘the Healer’. Knowing God is a greater good, and worth the experience of suffering or pain as it will mean the fulfillment of our primary purpose.
  4. Suffering allows 2nd order good. 1st order good is physical pleasure and happiness and 1st order evil is physical pain and sadness. 2nd order goodness is elevated goodness such as courage and can only happen if suffering or evil exist.
  5. People can also suffer from past, present or future sins. God has knowledge of everything which is not contingent on time. Please refer to the story of Khidr in the Qur’an where it mentions Khidr’s reply to Prophet Moses “All this was done as a mercy from your Lord. What I did was not done by my own will. That is the interpretation of those actions which you could not bear to watch with patience.”
  6. God has given us free will, and free will includes choosing evil acts.
The external problem of evil
The internal problem of evil fails to convince, however the external problem of evil seems more persuasive because it seems to acknowledge the co-existence of God and evil in the world, but denies God’s existence due to the level of the evil in the world. The external problem of evil argues the following:

1. A good God that is omnipotent exists
2. Gratuitous evil exists
3. Therefore, God does not exist

For the Muslim statement (2) is subjective and not entirely true. The Muslim will believe that evil exists, but not that gratuitous evil exists, and since this is based upon human subjectivity then the external problem of evil carries no weight. The proponent of this argument will have to show that gratuitous evil or evil itself are objective without reference to human subjectivity.

The essential problem with this argument is shown in the following questions:
  • What makes our value judgments objectively true?
  • What are our definitions of gratuitous evil?
The proponent of the problem of evil is faces a problem because God is required a rational basis for objective good and evil (whether gratuitous or not). Without God these terms are relative as there is no conceptual anchor, apart from God himself, which transcends human subjectivity. So the terms evil and good make no sense or are just ephemeral without God. Therefore in order for the atheist’s premise to make objective sense, God’s existence is necessary. In this light the Muslim or theist may argue:

1. If God did not exist, then objective moral values would not exist
2. Evil exists
3. Therefore objective moral values exists (from premise 2)
4. Therefore, God exists

Explaining the key premise: Premise (1)
The question about objective good or bad, in other words objective morality, has been discussed by many theists and non-theists alike. Many have concluded that there is no objective morality without God. Humanist philosopher Paul Kurtz aptly puts it,

“The central question about moral and ethical principles concerns this ontological foundation. If they are neither derived from God nor anchored in some transcendent ground, are they purely ephemeral?”

Paul Kurtz is right because God is the only conceptual anchor that transcends human subjectivity, so without God there is no rational basis for objective morality. In God’s absence, there are only two possible alternative conceptual foundations.
  • Social pressures
  • Evolution
Both social pressures and evolution provide no objective basis for morality as they both claim that our morality is contingent on changes: biological and social. Therefore morality cannot be binding, in other words true regardless of who believes in them.

Therefore without God there is no objective basis for morality. God as a concept is not subjective therefore having God as basis for morality makes them binding and objective, because God transcends human subjectivity. The following statement by Richard Taylor, an eminent ethicist, correctly concludes,

“Contemporary writers in ethics, who blithely discourse upon moral right and wrong and moral obligation without any reference to religion, are really just weaving intellectual webs from thin air; which amounts to saying that they discourse without meaning.”

Therefore evil in the world actually proves that God exists. This argument shows how God and evil can co-exist without attempting to explain why. So in a rhetorical response to the atheist the Muslim or theist can pose the following question,

“How can the atheist formulate an argument against the existence of God when God is required as an objective basis for the formulation of the argument in the first place?!”

At first sight the problem of evil seems to present insuperable difficulties for the Muslim. However under intellectual scrutiny the problem of evil actually fails to present a convincing argument.

And lastly,
Concluding with the Emotional Argument
There is a well known Buddhist saying that states ‘desire causes suffering ‘and since human beings desire then we will always suffer. Whether this is true or not clearly reinforces our intuition that we will suffer and experience evil at some point in our lives. This suffering can be the making of our own hands, other peoples or external forces like natural disasters. A consequence of this suffering is that many of us may fall prey to our emotional dispositions thereby questioning God’s existence or entering into a state of some form psychological malady.

Islamic Theology however provides the conceptual ‘tools’ necessary for the Muslim to overcome this problem. Islamic Theology is derived from two main sources, the Qur’an and the hadith literature. The Qur’an is a divine book that Muslims believes to be the word of God, and the hadith are divinely inspired statements attributed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). The following verses from the Qur’an and sayings from hadith provide all the necessary comfort for the Muslim.

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“Amazing is the affair of the believer, verily all of his affair is good and this is not for no one except the believer. If something of good/happiness befalls him he is grateful and that is good for him. If something of harm befalls him he is patient and that is good for him.”

“Anyone who dies of the plague is a martyr. Anyone who dies of a stomach illness is a martyr. Anyone who drowns is a martyr.”

“There are seven classes of martyrs except the one who is killed while fighting in the cause of God: one who dies in plague is a martyr; one who dies due to drowning is a martyr; one who is killed of Zat al-Janb disease (a disease that attacks ribs and causes inner ulcerations) is a martyr; one who dies of diseases of stomach is a martyr; one who is killed by fire is a martyr; one who is crushed under a wall is a martyr; and a woman who dies while delivery (or pregnancy) is a martyr.”

“No calamity befalls a Muslim but that Allah expiates some of his sins because of it, even though it were the prick he receives from a thorn.”

The Qur’an says,
“Do you think that you will enter paradise without any trials while you have known the examples of those who passed away before you? They were afflicted with suffering and adversity and were so violently shaken up that even the Prophet and the believers with him cried out: ‘When will God’s help come?’ Be aware, God’s help is close.”

“Surely with every difficulty there is relief. Surely with every difficulty there is relief.”

“Let there rise from among you a band of people who should invite to righteousness, enjoin good and forbid evil: such are the one, who shall be successful.”

Since the Muslim is intellectually convinced that these statements are from God, then it follows they are truth claims that not only comfort the Muslim, but fills his heart with tranquility.

The Christian God: EVIL! Wednesday, September 5, 2012

The Bible presents an interesting picture of God, ie. a god who never changes (Malachi 3:6) but actually does frequently change his mind and even regrets what he's done ("repents") - Genesis 6:6,7, Exodus 32:l4, l Samuel l5:35, 2 Samuel 24:l6, l Chronicles 21:l5, Jeremiah l8:8,l0, 26:3,l3,l9, 42:l0, Ezekiel 24:l4, Joel 2:l3, Amos 7:3. Although it is to be noted that Numbers 23:l9 and l Samuel 15:2 say that God never repents.

It states God is "spirit", ie. non-physical (John 4:24) and yet he is always called 'him' or 'he' as if he had a male body, and then it states that although spirit, he has feet (Psalm l8:9), arms (Jeremiah 27:5), wings (Psalm 36:7), hands (Job 27:ll), eyes (Deuteronomy 8:3), a mouth (Isaiah l:20), ears (2 Chronicles 6:40), nostrils (Exodus l5:8) and legs (Genesis 3:8). He also uses a razor - Isaiah 7:20. He also occasionally roars (Joel 3:l6) and sometimes he even whistles (Isaiah 5:26). Although he has never been seen (John l:l8), he has actually been seen (Isa 6:l), and he even revealed his rear to Moses (Exodus 33:21-22).

The presence of evil
Christians argue that it is through Adam's sin that evil exists and furthermore it is because of his transgression that all humans must die; this is clearly taught by Paul in Rom 5:12,17,18 and is the central theology of Christianity; however, this wholly contradicts 2 Kings 14:6, Ezekiel 18:20, Jeremiah 31:30 that state a person will NOT suffer for an ancestor's wrongdoing.

If the God of the Bible is truly God, then there is a dilemma; for God to be God, he has to be omnipotent, responsible for the creation of everything; this includes evil; if he did not create evil, then he was not wholly creative, and therefore cannot be God. In fact the Bible does actually say God commits evil, eg. Exodus 32:l4, 2 Sam 24:l6, 1 Chron 21:l5, Jer l8:8, 26:3,l3,l9, Jonah 3:l0. Furthermore he sends lying spirits (l Kings 22:23, 2 Chronicles l8:22) and deliberately deceives people (2 Thessalonians 2:ll). And not only this, he admits to being responsible for the creation of evil and misery - Isaiah 45:7, and that he has deliberately made people so he can destroy them - Proverbs l6:4.

He condemns killing (Exodus 20:l3) but orders it (Exodus 32:27); he encourages wisdom (Proverbs 4:7) but condemns it (l Corinthians l:l9); he protects the righteous (Proverbs 12:21) but does not (Hebrews ll:36-37); he cuts off the wicked (Proverbs l0:27) but does not (Job 21:7-9); he commands respect for parents (Exodus 20:l2) but encourages hatred for them (Luke l6:9); he blesses peace (Matthew 5:9) but brings war (Matthew l0:34, Revelation l9:ll).

It continues by saying God will keep the earth (Ecclesiastes l:4), but will destroy it (2 Peter 3:l0); is invisible and unseen (John l:l8, l Timothy 6:l5-l6) but has been seen (Amos 9:l, Deuteronomy 5:24); he lives in dazzling light (l Timothy 6:l5-l6), but lives in darkness (l Kings 8:l2).

The Christian life
One example of Christian teaching not being dervived from the Bible is how Christians say a great deal of the Bible gives instructions regarding a happy married/family life. In reality, this is not so at all.

As far as "Jesus' teaching about the 'sanctity' of marriage" or even family life, the Gospels say very little on this. Jesus' teaching regarding divorce arises in Matthew l9:3-l2 and Mark l0:2-12; Luke and John omit this passage. In Mark, Jesus speaks to his Jewish audience about a woman divorcing her husband - l0:12 - however no such thing was possible in Palestine ! Here the author of Mark betrays the fact that (i)he was not an eyewitness to the events he writes of (ii)that he was not a first century Palestinian Jew (who obviously would not make such an error) ie. Christians maintain the author of Mark is the same John Mark mentioned in Acts 12:12. However it is clear just from this that he was a Gentile, writing for a Gentile (Rome?) audience.

He makes numerous errors in his Gospel about Palestinian life, geography, customs and theology. (iii)the other Gospel writers freely adapted their material to emphasise the point they were trying to make. ie. their narratives are not reliable accounts, but rather editorial compositions/redactions with no basis in historical fact.

Mark also allows no reason for divorce - l0:l2, but the author of Matt does have Jesus saying one reason was acceptable for divorce (ie. unfaithfulness) - ie. l9:9. Presumably by the time Matthew was written, Christians (particularly Gentiles) were finding Jesus' instruction in Mark impossible to follow, so Matthew's author introduced an escape clause. Matt's author omits the statement about women divorcing their husbands as he clearly realised what an error this was (he actually tidies up other errors in Mark). In 1st century Palestine, adultery was not a crime against the woman, but a crime against her husband (!!!). Mark is therefore wrong in l0:ll and Matt (in l9:9) therefore corrects this and omits the 'against her'.

The statement that Christian life is the basis of a happy fulfilled family life, is certainly not based on Jesus' supposed teaching. In fact Jesus says very little on this subject. One of the occasions he does refer or rather, allude to family life is when he lists some of the Ten Commandments to the man asking about acquiring eternal life, and repeats the commandment of honouring parents. This appears in Matthew l9:l6-22 where the enquirer is a young man (l9:20) and in Luke l8:l8-23, but here he is a ruler. In Mark (l0:l7-22) he is clearly not 'young' as he recalls his youth in l0:20. This is a typical example of how the Gospels do not agree with each other.

In Mark, Jesus lists off some of the Decalogue (l0 Commandments) including 'Honour your parents', but he also lists 'Do not defraud' (l0:l9) as one of the Commandments. However, this is not one of the Ten Commandments. (These are found in Exodus 20:l-l7, Deuteronomy 5:6-21). Note how Matt (l9:l8) and Luke (l8:20), correct this error in Mark (they correct others also elsewhere in Mark). This again is an example of how Mark's author was not a Jew (who would at least know the l0 Commandments).

Furthermore, it clearly has Jesus saying things that could not have been said, and how the speech cannot be authentic; furthermore, it shows how Matt and Luke's authors freely changed Mark where they saw a mistake; their compositions cannot be reliable accounts either.

There is also the factor that it is somewhat inappropriate for Jesus to preach about the honouring of parents when he also advocates, for example, hating one's family (Luke l4:26), that his purpose was to break up families (Matthew l0:34-36, Luke 12:51-53), not even burying them when they die (Matthew 8:21-22) and deserting one's own family (resulting in a reward) (Luke l8:29-30).

Jesus' teachings
Although Christians maintain Jesus' teaching was very new and revolutionary (eg. Matt 19:3ff), this is just not so. Most of it is borrowed from the Old Testament and contemporary faiths. In this case, he is simply repeating the strict divorce ruling of Rabbi Shammai. The famous 'Golden Rule' of Jesus in Matt 7:l2 (Do to others as you would wish them to do to you) is also far from unique; this is found in various teachings predating Christianity and even found in its negative form in the Old Testament Apocrypha - Tobit 4:l5. Much of Matthew's 'Sermon on the Mount' (not found in Mark, nor John and broken into pieces and scattered through his Gospel by Luke's author) contains a good deal borrowed from pre-Christian religion, eg. Matt 5:9 is found in the pre-Christian Book of the Secrets of Enoch (52:ll) and Matthew 5:34-37 is also found there (49:l). In chap. 42 of this pre-Christian book, there are beatitudes which resemble the Gospel ones both in number and form.

In sum, there is nothing unique about Jesus' teachings, the record of his life is historically doubtful through the dishonesty and incompetence of the first Christian evangelists and leaders, and the claims made about Jesus by present-day Christians are false.

Did You Know That Christian's God Ordained The Holocaust And Slavery? Tuesday, September 4, 2012

Did God Ordain The Holocaust?
Did you know that God ordained the Holocaust? A tremendous amount of Satanic propaganda has fooled almost everyone into thinking the Nazi Holocaust against the Jews was an evil atrocity committed by sadistic lunatics. The Holy Bible, however, makes it clear that the Holocaust was a divine punishment of rebellious sinners!

God made the terms of His relationship with the Jews perfectly clear in the sacred scriptures He inspired their holy men to write. According to Deuteronomy 28:1-3: "And if you obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do al his commandments. Blessed shall you be in the city and blessed you shall be in the field."

On the other hand, Deuteronomy 28:58-59 warns: "If you are not careful to do all the words of this law; the Lord your God will bring on you and your offspring extraordinary afflictions, afflictions severe and lasting."

These scripture are so clear a child could understand. God promises the Jews blessings for obedience, but SEVERE PUNISHMENT if they disobey!

Now the gassings, burnings, starvation and disease of the Nazi death camps were not blessings on the Jews. They were not getting the blessings God promised for obedience, so it is obvious that they must have been DISOBEDIENT! And as disobedient sinners, they fully deserved the SEVERE PUNISHMENT God promised to bring upon them and their offspring!

How obvious it becomes then, that Auschwitz, Dachau and Treblinka were divine punishments for sin - the "EXTRAORDINARY AFFLICTIONS" that God warned of in the Bible!

Oh, how warped can human minds become to label as "atrocities" the just and righteous punishments of God? How far from the clear teachings of inspired scripture can we stray?

May God forgive us for ever considering His divine Holocaust an "atrocity"!

The Lord Loves Holocausts!
Now many so-called "Christians" would agree that the Jews who suffered and perished in the Holocaust had been disobedient sinners, but still quibble about the Holocaust being "too severe" a punishment to come from a God of Love and Mercy.

What an absurd argument, since we all know that God sends all unsaved sinners to a flaming Hell of eternal torture much worse than any Nazi concentration camp!

Also, the Holy Bible makes it perfectly clear that Holocausts are the Heavenly Father's favorite way of dispensing with unrepentant sinners and their despicable children. Indeed, the righteous Hebrew ancestors of todays' Jews were the Nazis of Biblical times - the Lord's willing instruments of genocide against various sinful peoples of the past.

Joshua 10:40, for example, sums up the Hebrew conquest of Canaan as follows: "So Joshua defeated the whole land ... He left none remaining, but utterly destroyed all that breathed, as the Lord God of Israel commanded."

In I Samual 15:3 we find the Hebrew prophet Samuel relaying God's order to exterminate the Amalekites, because their ancestors had opposed the Israelites centuries before: "Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have; do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass."

As these scriptures clearly show, God's loving and merciful nature is perfectly manifested by His orders to slaughter sinful peoples and their children!

Instead of moaning about Holocausts being "atrocities" we should thank God for them on our knees! Instead of calling Hitler a villain, we should accord him the same honor as a servant of God that we accord to Josuah and Samuel!

Death to the Sinners! Death! Death!!
Help Spread Holocaust Truth!

Once we are scripturally enlightened about the Holocaust, it becomes our Christian duty to help smash Satan's LIE and spread the truth!

How can we sit back and let the good name of our Creator be smeared by those who arrogantly call His divinely-ordained punishment an "atrocity"?

How can we tolerate the implication inherent in that LIE - the implication that God would permit millions of people to suffer and die unjustly without lifting a finger to help them?

We must spread the Biblical truth about Holocausts being God's way of punishing sinners and their children! We must pave the way for more and more Holocausts against sinful peoples by smashing the delusion that Holocausts are evil!

Did you know that God favors slavery?
In the Satanically-fostered confusion of our age, most people view slavery as a horrible violation of "human rights." We learn from the Holy Bible, however, that slavery is part of God's wonderful plan for our lives!

Yes, our loving creator has made it abundantly clear that His people are entitled to the services of heathen slaves. After all, why should God's people have to do unpleasant menial labor when there are millions of heathen sinners on earth to do it for them?

The Jews used to be God's chosen people, and they had his divine sanction to own slaves from the sinful Gentile nations around them. The Bible says in Leviticus 25:44-46 that God told them: "As for your male and female slaves whom you may have: You may buy your male and female slaves from among the nations that are round you. You may bequeath them to your sons after you, to inherit as a possession forever."

Now isn't that beautiful? Isn't it wonderful to know God wishes to spare His people the pain and drudgery of hard physical labor by letting them own slaves?

It also brings joy to realize we can kill our slaves without fear of punishment, provided we don't give them the unmerited mercy of a quick death. According to Exodus 21:20: "When a man strikes his slave, male or female, with a rod and the slave dies under his hand, he shall be punished. But if the slave survives a day or two, he shall not be punished: for the slave is his money."

How happy it must make the Lord to see us clobber an uppity slave a good one, leaving the subhuman creature to die slowly in agony!

Some misled "Christians" would like to think that God changed his divine mind about slavery somewhere along the line, but there is absolutely no biblical evidence to back that up. Indeed we are told in Leviticus 25:46 that the Lord intended the blessed institution of slavery to last "For Ever!"

A New Chosen People!
Since the Jews rejected Christ they are no longer the Chosen People. Only true Christian believers are God's people now, and only they have the right to own slaves.

Fortunately for sincere seekers of truth, it isn't hard to tell who the true Christians are. The Lord addresses us as follows in Romans 8:15: "You did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the spirit on sonship."

True Christians aren't slaves to fear! They aren't afraid to tell the truth, no matter how unpopular it might be! Now what church has had the courage to tell you the wonderful truth about God favoring slavery? Is not Word of Truth Ministries the only church which has dared speak out, while the Catholics, Baptists, Mormons and other so-called "Christian" churches have remained silent in the face of the Liberal-Communist-Satanic LIE about slavery being evil?

Be a Master - Not a Slave!
Yes, members of Word of Truth Ministries are the new Chosen People, the rightful slavemasters of the entire heathen world!

Surely God will soon set us in our rightful position, but he is now testing people for worthiness to be members of His elect. He wants only those with enough courage to join before we attain power.

If you want to crack the whip instead of feel it; if you want to be a master instead of a wretched slave, then GO AWAY QUICKLY!

The Biblical Picture Of God Is That Of An Evil God

The Biblical picture of God can hardly be reconciled with Christian teaching that "God is love", eg.
  • All forms of life destroyed because of one imperfect species - Genesis 6:5,7, 7:23.
  • Human sacrifice commanded by God - Leviticus 27:28,29. God agrees that Jephthah sacrifices his daughter as a thanksgiving - Judges ll:29-40.
  • God sends ten plagues on Egypt because Pharaoh won't release the Hebrews, but he deliberately hardens Pharaoh's heart so he refuses to release the Hebrews making these plagues necessary in the first place - God admits this is so he can perform 'his wonders' (Exodus ll:9), ie. wholesale mass slaughter of life in Egypt - Exodus 7:3-4,l3-l4, l0:l,20.
  • God sanctions slavery and a man selling his daughter - Exodus 21:2-6,7.
  • Death demanded for heresy - Deuteronomy l3:l,2,5,l4,l5.
  • God says that if a man strikes 'his slave', male or female, and they do not die immediately, the man shall not be punished because 'the slave is his money (ie. property)' - Exodus 21:20-21.
  • God orders people to slaughter their own relatives because they rejected Moses' religion; 3000 killed. Moses tells the killers that God would bless them for doing this by making them ordained for his service - Exodus 32:27-29.
  • A person to kill their own family for a difference of religion - Deuteronomy l3:6-l0.
  • God demands death for anyone not circumcised - Genesis l7:9-l4. God demands the sick are to be driven out of the community - Numbers 5:l-4.
  • God burns people to death for complaining - Numbers ll:l.
  • God kills 24,000 people by a plague because one of them brought a Midianite woman to his tent - Numbers 25:6-9.
  • The curses of God upon the Hebrews (eg. eating their own children) - Leviticus 26:l4-39, Deuteronomy 28:l5-68.
  • God arranges the Midianite slaughter - Judges 7:2,9,22.
  • God instructs the mass slaughter of Midianites (Num 31:1- 18), and the Lord "slew every male", alongwith their rulers (31:7), and the Midianite women and children and animals were captured; Moses then demanded all the males, including babies and the women were to be slaughtered, but the young girls could be "kept alive for yourselves" (31:l8). This story records the extermination of the Midianites, but later on, God AGAIN instructs the slaughter of the Midianites (Judges 6:l6).
  • It is the same with the Amalekites - they are "ALL destroyed" in l Samuel l5:8, but they are destroyed yet again in l Samuel 27:8-9 and everyone - men and women - are killed; however, they are killed (- for the 3rd time) in l Samuel 30:l,l6-l7 except for 400 young men. At long last, they are are finally killed off in l Chronicles 4:43 when the 'remnant' were destroyed.
  • The Spirit of God comes upon Samson and he murders over a thousand people - Judges l4:l9, l5:l4-l5.
  • The Psalmist praises God for his 'steadfast love' but then details his slaughtering in the past - Psalm 136:l0-21.
  • God deliberately deludes people so they will not be saved - 2 Thess 2:ll-l2.
  • A girl not found to be a virgin was to be killed - Deuteronomy 22:l3-21 (Note the same did not apply to men!).
  • God kills a baby for its father's wrongdoing - ignoring the father's pleas - 2 Samuel 12:l5-20 (Contradicting the ruling in Deut 24;16, 2 Kings 14:6).
  • God kills 70,000 men - 2 Samuel 24:l5
  • God has a friendly meeting with his arch enemy Satan - whom he doesn't even recognise - Job l:6-7, and they have a wager (Job l:8-12) over how much suffering it would take before righteous Job will reject God. Job then has his whole family killed and livelihood ruined (l:l3-l9) and then is afflicted by a loathsome plague (2:7-8).
Is it hardly surprising that a deity like this, that Bible-believing Christians behave in the way they do.
